There are several ancestors from who I have multiple descents, a result of pedigree collapse. Of course, this also means multiple descents from any ancestors of such ancestors.

Double descents

• Henry Samson and his wife Ann Plummer are ancestors of both Caleb and Emily Huntington through different children.
• William Chaplin and Agnes Holborough are ancestors of both Caleb and Emily Huntington through different daughters; see Triple descents below.
• Simon Huntington is an ancestor of both John and Ruth Huntington.
• Jacob Verdon and Mary Badie, through the double cousin marriage of Adam Brouwer and Jeanetje Verdon, are double ancestors of Gibbs Henry Gesner.
• Edmund Freeman, assistant governor of Plymouth Colony, and his wife Bennett Hodsoll are ancestors of both George Ryder and Mary Fleming.
• John Dunham of the Great Migration is probably an ancestor of my mother through his first wife Susan Kaino, and my father through his second wife Abigail Ballou. There is one generation in the former descent which is probably correct but I need to confirm.
• William Ring (who died in Leiden, Holland) and Mary Durrant of the Great Migration are ancestors of both my parents, making them 12th cousins.
• Mercy (Hoskins) Crossman’s parents are first cousins, once removed, through William and Anne Hoskins.

Less certain

• Jarrett/Garrett Haddon of the Great Migration and his wife Margaret. Depending on the Elliott mysteries, I could have descent from them zero, two, three, or four times, as they are ancestors of both Edmund Elliott and Deborah Huntington.
• Speculatively, Bennet Elliot and Lettice Agar, through a theory around Ryder paternity and of Caleb Huntington.
• Isaac (of the Mayflower) and Sarah Allerton were known to be brother and sister, although their parents are unidentified, and a later 4th cousin, once removed couple were the parents of William Cushman, grandfather of Ireana Cushman; see Ryder paternity.
• Alexander Carpenter who migrated from Wrington, England to Leiden, Holland and his unidentified wife may be ancestors of both my parents, based on my speculated parents for Horatio Bingham.

Triple descents

• William Chaplin and his first wife (name unknown), parents of the above William, are twice ancestors of Caleb Huntington, wife of Jane, due to the first cousin marriage of William Jr.'s daughter Martha with their daughter Alice's son Robert Parke.
• Christopher Scott is a double ancestor of Gad Wait, and an ancestor of Phebe Cossitt.
