Mayflower ancestors

The following known ancestors of mine migrated to the New World on the famous Mayflower voyage of 1620:

Through Fred Ryder

  • William Bradford, governor of Plymouth Colony.
  • William Brewster and his wife Mary.
  • Samuel Fuller.
  • Stephen Hopkins and his son Giles. This was Stephen’s second trip to the New World.

Ancestors of Ireana (née Cushman) Ryder

Ireana is the documented, but possibly not biological, grandmother of William H. H. Ryder.

  • Isaac Allerton, his wife Mary née Norris, and their daughter Mary. The last would be my closest Mayflower ancestor as an 8th-great-grandmother.
  • Degory Priest.

Through Robert Huntington

  • William Mullins, his daughter Priscilla, and her husband John Alden. These are all also my X ancestors.
  • Henry Samson. He is a double ancestor, and my closest Mayflower ancestor other than the uncertain Allertons.
  • Miles/Myles Standish. He was a member of the crew and not a Separatist, but still held positions of trust in the colony.
