Martha Jane McPherson (née Fisher; 1891-06-14 – 1958-08-29), nicknamed Grandma Mac, was my patrimaternal great-grandmother. The daughter of Richard Addison Henderson Fisher and Mary Caroline McClendon, she was born in Rhea County, Tennessee, and there married John McPherson Sr. on 1908-12-30. She had ten children, including my grandfather John McPherson.

Death
She died due to a car accident while in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was thrown from a vehicle at around 4:30pm on 1958-08-29, and was taken to the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead around 9:30pm. The causes of death were listed as “shock” and “multiple fractures and severe head injury”.⟮1⟯FamilySearch She was 67.
She is buried in Buttram Cemetery in Dayton, TN, where she lived at the time.
