Abraham Warren (say 1610 – 1682) was a Great Migration immigrant to America and my ancestor, perhaps 10th-great-grandfather, through his first wife Isabel and their daughter Mary (Warren) Green, mother of Abigail Green, wife of Nicholas Rich. Mary was his only known child. I have no documented descent from Abraham, but the DNA evidence is strong enough that I consider him one of the distant ancestors I‘m most confident of my descent from. His parents are unknown.
Abraham’s wife Isabel (maiden name unknown) died 1672-04-05, and he remarried. His second wife survived him, but nothing else about her is known, not even a name; her existence is inferred only from a court record mentioning a widow.
Abraham was presumably born in England, but no record of him has been found there. He was in Salem, Massachusetts by 1635. His estate was inventoried on 1682-09-21 in Salem, so he likely died there not long before then.
There are many false claims about Abraham and his origins on the Internet. One characteristic feature of such falsities is putting his birth in 1575, which is unreasonably early.
